LoveFix Ltd (“LoveFix,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a company registered in England and Wales (registered address: 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom), operates the LoveFix application and website (together, the “Service”), an AI-powered platform designed to help individuals and couples navigate relationship challenges through private conversations, personalised insights, and shared guidance.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal data when you use the Service. It applies to all users worldwide and describes your rights under applicable data protection laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA).

By using the Service, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use the Service. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service.

  • Session content: Messages you enter during relationship guidance sessions, including solo and partner sessions.
  • Partnership information: If you use the couples feature, we collect the information needed to link accounts (e.g., partner invitations, shared session participation).

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information: Device type, operating system, app version, and browser type.
  • IP address: Used for security purposes and approximate location inference.
  • Usage data: Pages viewed, features used, session duration, and interaction patterns.
  • Crash reports and error logs: Technical information collected when errors occur, used for debugging and stability improvements.
  • Push notification tokens: If you enable push notifications, we collect device tokens to deliver notifications.

2.3 Information from Third-Party Authentication

If you sign in using Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information (name, email address) as authorised by you through their authentication services. We do not receive your password from these providers.

2.4 Billing Information

  • Subscription status, plan type, and purchase history.
  • If you subscribe via Apple App Store or Google Play, billing is handled directly by those platforms. If you subscribe via our website, billing is handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not store credit card or payment card details.
  • Referral codes and attribution data (e.g., how you discovered the Service).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

3.1 Providing the Service

  • Processing your session messages through third-party AI service providers to generate personalised relationship guidance, insights, and session summaries.
  • Managing your account, authentication, and subscription.
  • Facilitating partnership features (inviting a partner, shared sessions).
  • Delivering push notifications and transactional emails.

3.2 AI Processing

Your session messages are transmitted to third-party AI service providers to generate responses and insights. Important details about this processing:

  • What is sent: Session messages and conversation context.
  • What is not sent: Your name, email address, or other direct personal identifiers are not transmitted to AI providers.
  • Consent required: You must provide explicit consent before any session data is transmitted to AI providers. This consent is obtained through a dedicated consent screen before your first AI interaction.
  • Withdrawal: You may withdraw your consent at any time through the Settings section of the app or by contacting support@lovefix.app. Withdrawal will prevent you from using AI-powered features.

3.3 AI Improvement and Model Development

We may use de-identified and aggregated data derived from sessions to improve our AI models and develop enhanced features. This data is processed so that it is not intended to be linked back to you as an individual.

Opt-out: You may opt out of having your data used for AI improvement purposes by emailing support@lovefix.app with the subject line “AI Training Opt-Out.” We will process your request within 30 days. Opting out does not affect your ability to use the Service.

3.4 Safety

If session content suggests a risk of harm to yourself or others, we may take appropriate action, which may include providing crisis resources and helpline information. The Service is not a crisis intervention tool. If you are in immediate danger, please contact emergency services.

3.5 Service Improvement

We use usage data, crash reports, and anonymised analytics to maintain, improve, and develop the Service.

3.6 Communications

We send account-related notifications (e.g., password resets, subscription confirmations) and may send service updates. We do not send marketing emails without your consent.

We process data as necessary to comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests from authorities.

  • Payment processors — to manage subscriptions and billing (where not handled by Apple or Google).

  • App store platforms — Apple and Google process in-app purchases and subscriptions under their own terms.

These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations that require them to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify.

5.2 Partnership Features

If you link your account with a partner, certain information (such as shared session summaries) is accessible to your partner as part of the partnership feature. Individual session messages remain private unless you choose to share them.

We may disclose data to comply with applicable laws, court orders, or governmental requests, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of LoveFix, our users, or the public.

5.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you of any such change and any choices you may have regarding your data.

7. International Data Transfers

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, for transfers from the EEA.
  • UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) addendum, for transfers from the United Kingdom.
  • Adequacy decisions where applicable.

8. Your Rights

8.1 Rights Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR

If you are in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, you have the right to:

  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.

8.2 Rights Under CCPA/CPRA (California Residents)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
  • Delete your personal information.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information. Session content is used only to provide the Service.
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

8.3 Data Export

You may request an export of your personal data by contacting support@lovefix.app. We will provide your data in a structured, commonly used format (e.g., JSON) within 30 days.


9. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data:

  • In-app: Through the account settings within the Service.
  • By email: By contacting support@lovefix.app.

Upon receiving a deletion request:

  • Your account will be deactivated immediately.
  • All personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records).
  • If you signed in via Google or Apple, associated authentication tokens will be revoked.
  • Any active partnership will be ended.
  • De-identified data that has already been aggregated cannot be deleted, as it is no longer intended to be linked to you.

If you have an active subscription, please cancel it through your app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) or payment provider before requesting deletion.


10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions (e.g., session management and authentication) and analytics. We do not use cookies for targeted advertising.

Our main website (lovefix.app) uses a cookie consent mechanism that allows you to manage your preferences for non-essential cookies. Our web application uses only essential cookies required for the Service to function (e.g., authentication and session management), which do not require separate consent under applicable law.

You can also manage cookie preferences through your browser or device settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect functionality.


11. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older. In jurisdictions where a higher minimum age is required for consent to AI data processing (e.g., 16 in certain EU member states), the applicable higher age applies.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone below the applicable minimum age. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child below the applicable age, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact support@lovefix.app.


12. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest.
  • Secure authentication protocols.
